United will return to action at Old Trafford in midweek.

Matheus Cunha, an attacker for Manchester United, has resumed training in preparation for the team’s Premier League match against West Ham United on Thursday.

Cunha has been out since completing 72 minutes in the 2-2 stalemate against Tottenham Hotspur on November 8 due to a head ailment.

In Matheus Cunha’s absence, Man United endured a painful 1-0 home loss to 10-man Everton, before they came back with a tight 2-1 victory in Sunday’s meeting with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

Before the midweek round of games, that outcome put the Red Devils in seventh place in the Premier League standings.

For the match against West Ham on Thursday, Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim may welcome back one of his forwards in the lineup.

Matheus Cunha offered a happy update on his Instagram account on Monday, showing a snapshot of himself in a full training kit at Carrington, along with the simple statement, “Back, back, back.”

According to the Brazilian’s social media post, he ought to be able to participate in the meeting with Nuno Espirito Santo’s team.

However, it remains to be seen if he is going to make it into the starting eleven or play an important part off the bench at Old Trafford.

In the victory over Crystal Palace, Man United captain Bruno Fernandes sustained a knock. But Amorim didn’t seem to be bothered about it when he addressed the media following the match.

Harry Maguire, a defender who has missed the last two games due to a thigh injury, is still doubtful for the home game. Meanwhile, Benjamin Sesko has continued to work on his rehabilitation from a knee injury he suffered in last month’s stalemate with Spurs.

As for Lisandro Martinez, he is set to play an important role in Thursday’s encounter after completing his comeback from a long-term injury hiatus with a substitute appearance versus Palace.

He is likely to play against them.

Which injury did Cunha suffer?
