The Red Devils are in dire need of a prolific No.9 next season.

According to sources, Manchester United are in the front seat to sign Antoine Semenyo, a star for AFC Bournemouth.

With ten goals in all competitions this season, the forward has been in excellent form. It is thought that all six of the Big Six clubs, excluding Arsenal, are interested in him. However, according to Sky Sports, United are the front-runners to sign him.

The winger, who cost £10.5 million to join Bournemouth from Bristol City in January 2023, is reportedly a huge fan of United coach Ruben Amorim.

Antoine Semenyo may cost £70 million, according to current estimates. The Cherries are unlikely to let him go easily, given their current performance in the league and fight for the European spot.

Although the agreement’s structure might feature a larger cost with significant add-ons, that could be a problem for United.

With Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, and Antony all anticipated to go permanently, the Red Devils are in need of a forward. Liverpool may compete with United for Antoine Semenyo’s services, as they also require an attacker.

Amorim is in dire need of a new signing who can score goals. Their problems continue as they lost to Wolves at home. The club have been lacklustre in front of the goal, and finding a prolific centre-forward for next season will be a key target.

Another player targeted for a possible £50 million summer transfer is Eberechi Eze, a Crystal Palace and England star.

Victor Osimhen is also one of the targets for the club next season as they hope to give Amorim a potent attack for the next season. United could also qualify for the UEFA Champions League if they win the UEFA Europa League, as they are in the semi-final of the competition.

This could see them need a revamp of the squad in order to compete in the Champions League next campaign, given their recent struggles in the league.
