The Red Devils will face Arsenal at Old Trafford in their 2025-26 season’s league opener.
The 2025–2026 Premier League schedule, including for Manchester United, has been revealed. It indicates how Ruben Amorim’s first full season will get underway.
The team will begin the season at home against Arsenal on Sunday, August 17, in a blockbuster match at Old Trafford.
As a result, United are starting a league season at home for the ninth straight season, which is the longest streak in English Premier League history of such kind.
In their opening match of the new season, the Red Devils will take on a formidable opponent with the hopes of winning the game that could kick-start their new campaign on a brilliant note.
After the former Sporting CP manager was named the new head coach in January, this will also be Amorim’s first complete season as he looks to start from scratch and aim to win some silverware next season.
The club are currently busy in the summer transfer window and so far have only signed Matheus Cunha. They have also been linked with a few players. It will be interesting to see how many acquisitions the team can make before the start of the new campaign.
It will be a historic start for them as they are set to commence the new season with a home game for the ninth successive season, the longest such run in English top-flight history.
What other big matches will Manchester United play?
On the weekend of August 23, they will play their first away game against Fulham following their first home game.
After Burnley’s visit in late August, followed by the September international break, Manchester United’s campaign resumes with the first Manchester rivalry at the Etihad on the weekend of September 13. The next week, Chelsea will visit United.
On October 18, Manchester United will play Liverpool at Anfield; the rematch won’t take place until the first weekend of May. Leeds United will be their first opponent at Elland Road in 2026, and Brighton will be their last away game.
