Vinicius Jr’s stay at Real Madrid remains uncertain amid ongoing contract talks with the club.

According to Spanish daily Fichajes, Manchester United are preparing an incredible £175 million offer to sign Vinicius Jr., a forward for Real Madrid.

The Red Devils are apparently considering a bold and daring attempt to bring the 25-year-old to Old Trafford, hoping to shock the market with a “monumental” offer for the “superstar” Brazil international.

The two-time Champions League winner’s contract with Real Madrid is scheduled to expire in June 2027, and Vinicius feels his standing warrants a wage equivalent to Kylian Mbappe’s, making his situation there reportedly “tense.”

But at the moment, Real are hesitant to alter their pay scale, and the circumstances have only made Vinicius’ future more uncertain, with a possible transfer to the Premier League now getting traction.

Fichajes claims that Vinicius‘ complex circumstances at Real Madrid may make it suitable for him to leave. Manchester United are looking into the possibility of bringing him to Old Trafford as they try to put together an “explosive” attacking trio with Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha.

After Saudi Arabian clubs pulled out of the bidding contest earlier this summer, Old Trafford officials apparently think Vinicius might be the marquee acquisition of a new era.

Vinicius Jr had a successful 2024–25 season at the Santiago Bernabeu, making 58 appearances in all competitions and dishing out 19 assists with 22 goals.

With a new number nine still at the top of their list, United are committed to reviving Ruben Amorim’s offensive options this summer.

The Red Devils are still hoping to sign RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko as their top priority up front. Although Newcastle, a Premier League rival, also made an approach last week.
