The Red Devils are willing to sell Alejandro Garnacho for the right price.
Manchester United are reportedly open to a potential move for their winger to leave Old Trafford. Chelsea and Napoli have expressed interest in Alejandro Garnacho.
Alejandro Garnacho’s representatives attended Monday night’s Chelsea game against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Stamford Bridge.
Lead3rs firm duo Carlos Cambeiro and Quique De Lucas were seen in west London, adding fuel to the fire about the Blues’ potential pursuit of the young Manchester United forward. According to reports, the Blues have asked about the possibility of securing the deal for United’s forward.
Given the potential increase in profit and sustainability (PSR) from Garnacho’s sale, it has been argued that United might be persuaded to let him go. Although the 20-year-old’s contract still has three years left on it, the Red Devils management seem willing to explore selling the Argentina international on the right terms.
Following Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s departure to Paris Saint-Germain, Antonio Conte’s team wanted the youthful winger. However, United have already turned down Napoli’s £40 million offer for Garnacho’s services.
Instead, the Serie A team was informed that signing the teenage star would cost ÂŁ60 million. Garnacho was reportedly amenable to the transfer. His present team has a strong negotiation position because he is committed to the club until 2028.
With eight goals this season, the youthful player is one of United’s best goal-scorers, only surpassed by Amad Diallo. However, he has had difficulty securing a spot in Ruben Amorim’s starting lineup.
Garnacho was not included in the squad at all for United’s derby victory over Manchester City, and he has only started one of the team’s last seven games. The transfer-linked star last scored for United against Bodo/Glimt in Amorim’s second game as manager.
Given Garnacho’s difficulty establishing himself in Amorim’s plans and links with other clubs, it won’t be surprising to see United offload their young prospect once the asking price is met by interested parties this window.
