Manchester United to begin talks soon with Brentford to sign Bryan Mbeumo: Report

The Cameroon international is open to joining the Red Devils.
It is anticipated that Manchester United will begin talks with Brentford over the signing of Bryan Mbeumo, a striker.
In order to strengthen his struggling attack, United head coach Ruben Amorim is making it a priority to sign more hitting firepower this summer.
With previous big-money acquisitions, Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee managing just four and three goals, respectively, the Old Trafford team only managed 44 Premier League goals this past season. It was the fifth-lowest total in the league.
Matheus Cunha, a forward for Wolves, has already reached an agreement with United and will finalise his transfer to Old Trafford after his international duties with Brazil conclude.
The 25-year-old Cameroon international Bryan Mbeumo scored 20 goals for Brentford in the league the previous season. United are sure they will make a move for him this summer after learning he is keen to join them.
It is acknowledged that Bryan Mbeumo’s contract, which has one year remaining, does not have a release provision, albeit it can be extended by an additional year.
He has not been included in the team for his country’s forthcoming friendlies against Uganda and Equatorial Guinea, like many other top players, including United goalkeeper Andre Onana.
Despite not being a natural number nine, Mbeumo, who joined from French team Troyes in 2019, is thought to be dynamic, fast, strong, and versatile—qualities that Amorim values in players.
Growing rumours that Bruno Fernandes rejected a large offer from Saudi Pro-League team Al-Hilal are considered to have no bearing on United’s summer signings.
After seeing Amorim’s team struggle in front of the goal during this completed season, United executives have apparently been considering two additional attacking deals. Viktor Gyokeres, a striker for Sporting CP who played under Amorim in Portugal, is a central part of their hit list.
Signing the Swede would need up to £60 million. The forward finished the previous season with more league goals than any other player in Europe. Also ‘looked at’ by INEOS is AFC Bournemouth attacker Antoine Semenyo, who had a stellar season for the Cherries the previous season.
