England international recently claimed he is open to new challenges.

The future of Marcus Rashford at Manchester United is currently in doubt. Ruben Amorim will ultimately determine whether the player stays or leaves.

It’s very obvious that Marcus Rashford doesn’t have a career at the Premier League powerhouses until he gives it his all in training over the coming weeks after being benched by Amorim for the last three games, including a 3-0 loss to AFC Bournemouth at home.

In an interview, the forward made clear that he is now ready for a new challenge. This came after his omission from the United squad to face Manchester City.

The future of Rashford, according to the Times, Amorim has been granted total autonomy to make decisions however he pleases. It is alleged that Sir Jim Ratcliffe, co-owner of Manchester United, and other people in the club hierarchy will not become involved in the situation.

This is in spite of the fact that, after being dissatisfied with Dan Ashworth’s work, the INEOS head essentially fired him after only five months on the job. He will not, however, become engaged in the Rashford issue.

However, the England international isn’t the only player who could be out. Midfielder Casemiro is also now considering leaving the club in January as his time on the pitch has been reduced.

United were willing to sell the former Real Madrid star this summer but failed to find a suitor for him. However, now, clubs from Saudi Arabia have expressed interest in signing the Brazilian.

For a satisfactory fee, the Premier League giants will be willing to offload the player whom they bought for a high fee from Real Madrid.

Meanwhile, in Rashford’s case, the club will have to put a long thought into selling him either next summer or as early as January 2025. The 27-year-old is an academy player and could change his situation at the club if allowed to get into the right state of mind. The player has age on his side plus we all know what he can do if he gets going.

However, all the decision-making now rests on the Portuguese coach Amorim. He is the one to make a big decision if he wants to continue playing Rashford for the rest of the season.
