FC Barcelona loanee Marcus Rashford has no intention of returning to Manchester United. He will strongly decline any proposal of a starting spot, even with the UEFA Champions League next season. He doesn’t wish to go back to United as he is enjoying his time at the Catalan club.
Barcelona defeated Real Madrid 2-0 to win LaLiga thanks to a spectacular free kick from Marcus Rashford. Beyond the completion of the current campaign, though, the Englishman’s future at the team is far from clear.
The Spanish title had not been determined by El Clásico since 1932. But on Sunday night at Camp Nou, Barcelona easily won three points and the trophy. Rashford was instrumental in helping Hansi Flick, who had lost his father that same day, lead his team to a convincing victory.

Rashford expressed his desire to stay in Spain after winning his second trophy during his season-long loan from Manchester United. He stated to BBC Sport:
“I don’t know. I am not a magician. If I was, I would stay. So we will see. Football is unpredictable but for now, I will just enjoy it, live in the moment and reassess at the end of the season and see what is possible.”
With 14 goals and 14 assists in 47 games this season, the England international has shown that he can be a useful member of Flick’s squad.
Spanish media outlets can’t agree on whether Rashford would be a good permanent addition, even if it’s clear where he wishes to play football next season. The forward will hope to continue another season at the club, be it on another season-long loan or a permanent move.
