Top three Marcus Rashford replacements Manchester United should target

The Red Devils are considering selling Rashford in the January transfer window.

In what may be the end of an era for the team and their star player, Manchester United are prepared to sell Marcus Rashford.

The 27-year-old significantly lost his temper recently, and reports have revealed that United are now determined to move on and use the money from his sale to rebuild their team.

Distractions off the field are thought to have impacted Rashford’s performance. There is a growing belief that everyone would benefit from a new beginning.

If United are successful in selling the forward, they will need to find a successor. Three players that could be a good fit for the position are listed below.

3. Kenan Yildiz

The Red Devils would want attacking weapons down the left if the England international does decide to sell Rashford. Kenan Yildiz of Juventus has been suggested as a viable possibility.

Although he can play all over the front line and as a support striker if necessary, he thrives down the left. This season, he has made 18 starts in all competitions, tallying four goals and an equal number of assists.

The club’s approach has changed since INEOS joined, moving away from signing old superstars and towards attempting to sign the greatest young players available worldwide. The young Turk most definitely fits that description.

2. Rodrygo

Rodrygo will be another excellent replacement for Rashford at the club given the forward can play anywhere on the attacking line similar to the England international. However, it will be tough to bring him to Old Trafford as he might not be interested in the move. But the Red Devils can try and pull the plug.

Rodrygo has largely operated on the right wing given that Real Madrid already have the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior, hence a move to United will also make sense. He will get a chance to play in his natural position.

1. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia

According to reports, Manchester United may attempt to sign Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, a standout player for Napoli, for €90 million.

During his stint in Serie A, the Georgia international proved to be a top-tier player, so it makes logical sense that Manchester United are now giving him significant consideration as they want to bolster their roster.

This United team, who have appeared a tad flat this season, could use some spark from Kvaratskhelia’s flair and skill on the left wing.
