The forward is open to new challenges this year.
Following his most recent snub, Marcus Rashford has increased his efforts to find a way out of Manchester United. After spending his entire career at Old Trafford, the attacker acknowledged last month that he is ready for a new challenge.
The 27-year-old Rashford is also negotiating with top sports agency Stellar in the hopes of leaving the club this window.
Dwaine Maynard, his brother, is currently his attorney, but the £325,000-per-week star is eager to have additional people involved to boost his departure. Furthermore, Gareth Bale’s historic £86 million transfer to Real Madrid in 2013 was made possible by Stellar.
After being added back to the team, 18 days after last playing for the Red Devils, Rashford was benched during Monday’s 2-0 loss to Newcastle.
However, manager Ruben Amorim stated prior to kickoff that the main reason was that he was low on players, as Manuel Ugarte and Bruno Fernandes were suspended.
Additionally, Amorim substituted Alejandro Garnacho and Antony for the home team as they attempted to rally back into the match.
Manchester United target PSG full-back Nuno Mendes
Nuno Mendes is a top target for United. They would be willing to sell Rashford this window as it will assist their new manager in signing the left-back.
The 22-year-old wing-back for Paris Saint-Germain is eager to respond to an SOS from his former manager, Amorim. Mendes would enjoy a reunion with his fellow Portuguese manager, with whom he worked at Sporting Lisbon.
Since he still has 18 months left on his contract, PSG will expect about £45 million. However, United would only be able to purchase if they were able to sell players.
Since Marcus Rashford is a homegrown player, his sale would be beneficial in terms of the Profit and Sustainability Rules. “We don’t have that possibility in January,” Amorim responded when asked about new additions this week.
Amorim now uses Diogo Dalot out of place in the left wing-back position, therefore he considers it a key concern. Meanwhile, clubs from Saudi Arabia could show renewed interest in 32-year-old midfielder Casemiro this month.
