The Liverpool star can now sign a pre-contract agreement with any club.

Barcelona have apparently been contacted by Mohamed Salah’s representatives regarding a possible transfer to the Spanish club in the summer.

According to Diario Sport, Mohamed Salah, a Liverpool player, has offered himself to Barcelona. With 27 goals and 17 assists in just 29 Premier League games this season, the 32-year-old has been in outstanding form for Arne Slot’s squad.

According to reports, Egypt international is also giving a thought to the €50 million offer a season from Al Hilal of the Saudi Pro League, which the Spanish team would find difficult to match given Barça’s precarious financial status.

In fact, in order for the Blaugrana to adhere to LaLiga’s financial regulations, Salah would need to accept a substantial cut from his present pay of £15 million annually at Liverpool.

Salah has yet to disclose his next team as the European club season draws to a close.

However, he is exactly the type of player Hansi Flick is looking for to improve his team—one who can play as a striker to support Robert Lewandowski or out wide.

However, any possible move is complicated by Barca’s well-documented financial difficulties. The fact that Liverpool didn’t have to pay a dime to acquire one of its greatest players is undoubtedly a huge plus. Salah is reportedly earning about $19.3 million (£15 million) per season at Anfield, which the Blaugrana cannot afford.

Salah would need to drastically cut his salary expectations in order to move to Catalonia, but Barca assume that the player wants to continue his career outside of Liverpool and the Premier League and that the Spanish club can be an ideal team for him.

Salah is eager to enjoy a competitive challenge at the elite level in European football, but as of now, things appear uncertain as the forward can also sign a new deal after the end of the season.
