Napoli prepare €50m bid for Manchester United star Alejandro Garnacho: Report
The Argentine has struggled to play games under Ruben Amorim.
Manchester United’s Argentine international Alejandro Garnacho is a target for Napoli. The player could be open for the move to get more minutes on the pitch.
The media claims that Napoli’s sporting department had previously reached Garnacho’s agent and prepared a €50m bid for the player. A substantial sum, but not as much as the Italians would get if they sold Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
Napoli would likely end up having a greater amount in the bank after they let go of one of their most important players. Garnacho has eight goals and four assists in 1,560 minutes on the field so far this season. It is unclear if the Red Devils will accept the offer. But the player might be interested in a change of scenery and leaving Manchester United, who are going through a difficult moment.
Giovanni Manna, the sporting director of Napoli, and Antonio Conte are reportedly in perfect agreement regarding Garnacho, and efforts are being made to try and execute what would be a game-changing move.
Since making his debut for United’s senior team as a teenager, the Argentina international has notched 23 goals in 115 games. It appeared as though he might go on to become a true superstar after he achieved double figures in all competitions for the first time last season.
However, this term, his progress has stagnated. Almost no one thrived during the conclusion of Erik ten Hag’s tenure, and Amorim has struggled to maintain the team’s shape since taking the Dutchman’s place.
With Bruno Fernandes starting as the left-sided attacker and Amad Diallo on the right, Amorim appears to have found a solution after their most recent 2-2 draw at Liverpool. Garnacho came off the bench for just twenty minutes.
Unless stars are sold, United won’t have any money to spend during the January transfer window. Because of this, almost every member of the team, including Garnacho and fellow rising sensation Kobbie Mainoo, is reportedly for sale for the ‘right price’.
