Only two football clubs feature in list of 25 most valuable sports teams 2025

Both clubs continue to be the wealthiest sides in football.

Just two football teams are included by Forbes in the list of the 25 most valuable sports teams in the world in 2025.

With a staggering $13 billion valuation, the Dallas Cowboys are the most valuable sports club in the world.

Over the previous ten years, the average revenue of NBA and NFL clubs has increased by 141% and 91%, respectively, to an estimated $417 million and $662 million, due to the leagues’ greater payouts and the teams’ significant financial gains in areas like sponsorship and premium seating.

Manchester United and Real Madrid part of top 25 of Forbes list of most valuable clubs

According to Forbes, Real Madrid are ranked in the top 20 and is considered the most valuable football team in the world.

Los Blancos are presently worth $6.8 billion, the highest amount for any football team in 2025. This list also includes Manchester United, who are valued at $6.6 billion!

The fact that neither Real Madrid nor Manchester United were able to win any significant titles in 2025 hasn’t had much of an effect on their value.

The most valuable sports team in the world was valued at $5 billion six years ago. That number now wouldn’t even make the top 50, as all the top teams around the world have seen a huge jump in their worth.

Due to this discrepancy, only four of the top 50 teams in the world are soccer teams—two from Spain’s La Liga and two from England’s Premier League—down from seven in each of the previous two years. Manchester City of England, Bayern Munich of Germany, and Paris Saint-Germain of France have all fallen off the list.
