We will soon witness Paul Pogba return to the pitch after his four-year football ban was reduced to 18 months. The midfielder was charged with a doping ban after he tested positive for taking a performance-enhancing drug.
It appeared that his playing career was nearly done as he was handed a four-year ban from playing football, but the midfielder sought to prove his innocence by appealing to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
It was a major turn of event after his appeal was successful and court lowered his suspension duration from football. Ever since the court reduced his ban to 18th months, the French international has since completed his sanction and has joined Ligue 1 side AS Monaco.

While penning his new deal with a Ligue 1 club, the former Manchester United star got emotional after being away from football for such a long timel.
Moreover, since his move became official, as per L’Équipe, half of AS Monaco’s shirt sales have featured Paul Pogba’s name.
Paul Pogba signed a two-year deal with AS Monaco, and we will finally get to see the player on the pitch from next season, as the star has not yet participated in pre-season matches so far.

Following his arrival at the club, Pogba has not been deemed fit enough to play in any games alongside another new acquisition, Ansu Fati, after coach Adi Hutter assessed his new signing’s physical condition.
When Monaco thrashed Coventry, manager Adi Hütter revealed that the players had continued their preparation to reach the fitness level individually. He told L’Equipe:
“They’re working on their physical structure, their balance. You can’t compare the two. I think Ansu is a little closer to joining the team. At Barcelona, he wasn’t able to work as he should.
We’re trying to get him back up to speed, but we can’t do it too soon. We’re being careful. They’re both hungry for the ball. They’ll get closer to that in the coming weeks.”
