While playing in the Premier League, players like Didier Drogba, Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie, and Cristiano Ronaldo have all established distinct standards.
They used to consistently provide their best effort against the best teams and produce the desired outcomes. In this article, we will take a look at the top three players with the most assists against the top-six Premier League clubs.
3. Dennis Bergkamp – 17 assists
Bergkamp was renowned for his goals, assists, and deft technique. On the first day of the 1995–96 league season, Bergkamp made his complete Arsenal debut against Middlesbrough. In his first season at Arsenal, he scored 11 goals in 33 games.
He was aware that he was capable of being the best, and he didn’t stop until he achieved it. When facing the Premier League’s top six teams, he consistently performed well contributing 17 assists. The player can be called an Arsenal legend.
2. Riyad Mahrez – 17 assists
One of the Premier League’s most underappreciated players who also has produced the goods against the best teams. Mahrez scored a lot of fantastic goals while he was at Manchester City and was in the league of his own race. Because of his exploits and capacity to alter the game with his impact, he was constantly in the spotlight.
Over his career, Riyad Mahrez had played 85 Premier League matches against Big Six opponents, tallying 15 goals and 17 assists.
1. Mohamed Salah – 18 assists
The forward’s incredible record against the best clubs in the Premier League just got better. Mohamed Salah has further increased his tally after a goal for Liverpool against Chelsea. After Levi Colwill knocked Curtis Jones down in the box, Salah scored from the penalty spot at Anfield.
In the Premier League, it was the Egyptian’s fifth goal against Chelsea, his former team. Surprisingly, the strike also marked his 60th goal involvement against other “Big Six” teams in the Premier League: Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea.
