4. Raphinha: 9

Raphinha’s work ethic, consistency, offensive and defensive contributions have made him a vital member of Barcelona‘s team. Although Raphinha was chosen as captain unexpectedly, he has valued the confidence of his coach and colleagues.

Raphinha’s numbers demonstrate that he is in unparalleled form. The Brazilian’s 2024 European competition record now stands at 12 goal contributions following his goal in the Westfalenstadion on 12 December. The player ended the year with nine goals and three assists to his credit.

3. Vinicius Junior: 9

Despite Real Madrid’s poor form in the 2024-25 season Vinicius Junior has remained potent in front of the net and has led the attack. He has nine goals in the Champions League in the year 2024 and remains Los Blancos’ most important player despite their wealth of options up front.

The Brazilian also led the Spanish capital to the trophy last season (2023-24) and will hope to turn the fortunes around of the club in this competition this campaign as they remain in bottom half of the league phase table.

2. Robert Lewandowski: 9

Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski scored twice on Matchday 5 to reach 100 goals in the league. He is now only the third player to reach 100 goals, behind Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, in the competition. In 2024, he scored nine goals in the Champions League.

The Polish striker has been excellent in front of goal this season, leading the competition scoring list with seven goals. Barcelona’s recent dip in play has seen him unable to find the back of the net. In 2025, he hopes to make a shift.

Harry Kane celebrated yet another fantastic year of goal-scoring glory followed by the last day of 2024. In 2024, Kane scored nine goals for Bayern in the Champions League.

The striker inspired Bayern Munich to top of the Bundesliga in the year and helped advance to the Champions League semifinals in May. As England fought their way to the Euro 2024 final, Kane also showed his abilities on the international front.

The 31-year-old is undoubtedly still one of Europe’s best stars, even though it may seem like he is nearing the end of his prime.
