The league wants its fans to have more access to their favourite clubs and more.
Every Premier League season, the English top-flight brings new rules that result in different feedback from the fans. Now, for the upcoming season, the English top-flight league is set to introduce another new set of rules.
It makes sense to try adding something fresh to Premier League broadcasts in a world where everyone demands to have greater access to their favourite players and teams.
For next season, the fans will have far greater and closer access to their favourite teams, players and managers.
The league is establishing halftime related stuff with players/managers, interviews with footballers who got subbed off, and more dressing room details starting from next season.
Premier League hopes to provide more access to fans with new rules
It is recommended that player or coach interviews be implemented during halftime. The content will also include broadcasts from the dressing room and interviews with players who have been substituted off.
According to reports, clubs have to select one of the three alternatives for every Premier League match. Previously, players were only available to the media following games.
Match of the Day and live broadcast programs like Sky Sports and TNT Sports typically feature interviews with one or two stars. Every team sends at least one player to Premier League Productions to speak.
Even though the football players must pass through the mixed zone, the written press is not guaranteed to speak with any players. However, the managers have to address both the written and televised media.
When a game is broadcast live on television, the commentators and presenter typically speak with the coaches before kickoff.
However, historically, players and managers have been completely off-limits from the kickoff until the last whistle.
Marcus Tavernier did, however, talk with Sky Sports late in AFC Bournemouthâs 3-1 victory over Southampton on September 30. The first-of-its-kind modifications would provide additional information during the games.
However, it also depends on the clubs and managers, whether they would like the media to record the dressing room scenes, given that only clubsâ media have done it over the years.
