Premier League 2025-26 Player of the Matchweek: List of all winners

Lucas Bergvall, a midfielder for Tottenham Hotspur, was chosen as the fourth Premier League Player of the Matchweek winner, making him the third Spurs player this season to do so after Richarlison and Joao Palhinha had already won the honour.

Bergvall produced a spectacular header to give Spurs their first Premier League goal against West Ham United on Saturday. He then assisted Micky van de Ven to help the team win 3-0 at the London Stadium.

In Matchweek 4, Bergvall received 27 per cent of the fans’ vote, surpassing Martin Zubimendi, a midfielder for Arsenal, who received 25 per cent.

Erling Haaland (23 per cent), Moises Caicedo (8 per cent), Robin Roefs and Antoine Semenyo (6 per cent each), Nick Woltemade (4 per cent), and Emiliano Martinez (1 per cent) were among the remaining six nominees.

Dominik Szoboszlai of Liverpool, meanwhile, was chosen as the Premier League Player of the Matchweek for the third matchweek.

In a match between the top two clubs this season, Liverpool defeated Arsenal 1-0 thanks to a spectacular free kick from the Hungarian midfielder. He excelled in an unusual right-back position as a stand-in for the injured Jeremie Frimpong.

Along with making a number of outstanding long forward passes and snuffing out Gabriel Martinelli’s threat, Szoboszlai helped Liverpool maintain their undefeated start to the season by contributing on both ends of the field.
