The Egyptian has been targeted by many top clubs.

Mohamed Salah of Liverpool has apparently been targeted by Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), who are providing the player with a three-year contract.

In six months, Salah’s contract with Liverpool will expire, and the Egyptian sensation is now free to discuss a free move with any possible suitors. The leading scorer in the Premier League has been outspoken about the lack of movement in talks for a renewal at Anfield, and Paris Saint-Germain are now looking to take advantage of the situation.

Salah has already received a substantial three-year contract offer from PSG at Parc de Princes, according to French journalist Romain Collet Gaudin. In an attempt to make him their first big-name acquisition since Kylian Mbappe left for Real Madrid in the summer, the Ligue 1 powerhouses are willing to offer the 32-year-old €500,000 per week.

Liverpool are only prepared to offer the Egyptian forward a fresh two-year contract, according to the source. Furthermore, at €400,000 per week, their wage raise offer to Salah is less than PSG’s.

If Liverpool hope to retain Salah at Anfield past the end of the current campaign, they will probably need to increase their standing offer. On Sunday, he is expected to return to duty for Arne Slot’s team in a crucial Premier League matchup against Manchester United.

However, the forward’s long-term future in Merseyside is now uncertain. According to reports, PSG are among the teams prepared to take advantage of the possibility of getting Salah without having to cough up a transfer price.

The Ligue 1 powerhouses’ transfer plan would drastically alter if they made a move for Salah. After all, following reports in l’Equipe that negotiations have been held, club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi appeared to shut out any chance of a move for the Liverpool attacker last month.

Representatives of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, and Salah are still negotiating contracts with Liverpool. At the end of the season, the current contracts of all three expire.
