Rasmus Hojlund doubtful for Manchester United's next pre-season match; Leny Yoro injured

The Red Devils will next face Real Betis in a pre-season game.
Manchester United suffered two injury setbacks in a 2-1 defeat to Arsenal. Rasmus Hojlund and Leny Yoro picked up injuries. Recent reports reveal the Danish forward could miss the next pre-season game while the Frenchman’s injury appears serious.
18-year-old Yoro made his second consecutive start for the Red Devils this preseason, after securing a huge summer transfer to the team earlier this July. Last week, he played for 45 minutes before being substituted against Rangers. But on Saturday, he was surprisingly taken off the pitch in the first half against the Gunners.
The French defender was substituted just 35 minutes into the match due to an injury. Although he was able to go away on his own, his leg clearly hobbled.
Meanwhile, Erik ten Hag said: “Of course it is too short [to know about their injuries] and we have to wait over 24 hours, then we will hopefully know more. We were careful especially with Leny [Yoro] as he only did 50 per cent of the [training] sessions. He has to come up but let’s be positive and see what comes out.”
In the tenth minute, Hojlund gave United the lead with a powerful run, but he was forced off with a right hamstring injury shortly after. But the assessment says the former Atlanta striker’s injury isn’t serious. His status is only ‘doubtful’ for the next pre-season game against Real Betis.
However, it remains to be seen whether the forward features or not. United wouldn’t want more first-team players to pick up injuries before the start of the new season.
Ten Hag will now be careful with his squad selection for the next game. He will hope to give more chances to the academy players.
Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli’s goals gave the Gunners victory, but Andre Onana’s heroics in the pre-arranged penalty shootout saw United prevail 4-3.
Erik ten Hag, the manager of United, is quite concerned about injuries because his team had a great deal of injuries during the previous campaign. He will hope the same thing doesn’t repeat in the upcoming season as he prepares his side during the pre-season.
