Rayan Cherki issues warning to Manchester United after joining rivals Man City

The French international joined Man City this summer.
Manchester City’s recent signing Rayan Cherki has already sent a warning to their local rivals, Manchester United, for the next season’s games against them.
Rayan Cherki is already winning over supporters on the blue side of his new club by saying that he intends to “kill” Manchester United next season when he faces them in the league.
The 21-year-old joined Manchester City this summer after the Premier League spent £30 million to sign him from the French club.
Given that the incredibly gifted forward has already made 185 appearances for Lyon and established himself as one of the most promising prospects in Europe, it might turn out to be a steal.
Cherki could currently be set to make his Manchester City debut at the Club World Cup this week, possibly against Wydad Casablanca in Philadelphia on Wednesday.
Rayan Cherki has revenge on his mind
The Frenchman man revenge on his mind after he lost to United in the Europa League last season. Bruno Fernandes, Kobbie Mainoo, and Harry Maguire scored late goals to give the Red Devils the most spectacular of 7–6 aggregate victories.
However, his goals against them weren’t enough as Lyon were eliminated from the competition. He is obviously pumped up and has revenge in mind when questioned about facing United again in the Premier League.
‘I’m here to win all the games,’ he said. ‘I don’t like it when Manchester United won the game against Lyon because I am a Lyonnais. Now I am waiting for the game [to] kill them.’
As the Premier League schedule gets revealed this week, he won’t have to wait long to see when Man City and Manchester United will play this season.
Regarding where the Frenchman will play for City, he wants to avoid being overly restricted to a single position.
Cherki claims that Pep Guardiola has already given him the freedom he desires when he is in possession.
