Kylian Mbappe is currently one of the best players in the world.

Spanish giants Real Madrid have already done incredible business so far in this summer transfer window. In addition, they have also commenced their pre-season preparations and will hope to dominate club football once again in the upcoming 2024-25 campaign.

In the 2023-24 season, Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid enjoyed an incredible campaign as they clinched the LaLiga and UEFA Champions League titles. Along with the Spanish Super Cup, they completed an impressive treble of trophies.

However, the headline-grabbing moment of the summer came when Los Blancos finally announced the superstar signing of Kylian Mbappe in front of a jam-packed Santiago Bernabéu.

Madrid signed Mbappe on a free transfer upon the expiration of his club contract at PSG. The 25-year-old forward put pen to paper on a lucrative five-year contract, which included a hefty signing bonus of close to €150 million.

According to several reports, Real Madrid have borrowed approximately €130 million from the bank in order to pay Kylian Mbappé’s salaries and bonuses.

In addition, just before the first payment of the salaries for the first team at the end of June, Madrid’s cash flow stagnated at €82 million. This was reportedly the Spanish club’s lowest cash flow level in 20 years.

Just a few days ago, it was also confirmed that Real Madrid became the first football club in history to surpass a mammoth €1 billion in revenue for the 2023-24 season, marking a stellar 27% increase from the previous campaign.

With Florentino Pérez as the President of the club, Madrid have not just enjoyed footballing success but have also managed to become a financial powerhouse that can effectively sign any world-class player of their liking.

Kylian Mbappe is set to wear the No. 9 jersey for Real Madrid, with Endrick revealed as the club’s new No. 16 for the upcoming season.

In his farewell campaign for PSG, Mbappe recorded a staggering 44 goals along with 10 assists across all competitions, guiding the French club to two trophies in the form of Ligue 1 and Coupe de France titles. Owing to his stellar performances, the French international was named Ligue 1 Player of the Season for a record fifth time in his career.

With Real Madrid set to travel to the United States for their pre-season tour, Kylian Mbappe is expected to join the squad later due to his participation in the latter stages of Euro 2024 with France.
