Robert Lewandowski's agent provides update on his future with Barcelona

The Polish striker has been in sensational form this season.
Despite age-related doubts about the Pole’s suitability for Hansi Flick’s team, Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski appears to be staying with the team through the upcoming campaign.
So far, in 2024–2025, Lewandowski has scored 34 goals in all competitions. He may reach 40 goals this season, and this could be his first campaign with that many goals since leaving Bayern Munich three years ago. The striker has been performing at his peak level this season under the German head coach.
The seasoned frontman will turn 37 in August and has a deal with Catalonia through at least the summer of 2026. Despite his ongoing goal production, there has been persistent conjecture over whether this will be his final season with Barcelona.
However, the notion that Lewandowski would depart in the upcoming months has been dispelled by agent Pini Zahavi.
“Robert will stay at Barca next season, it’s 100% sure. He’s happy at the club. He has a contract there and he will respect it until the end,” the representative told 365 Scores.
If Lewandowski isn’t ready to retire, the Saudi Pro League, which has signed aging former LaLiga players like Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo, would be the logical next stop if and when he does leave Barcelona. However, the athletic striker has “not received” an offer from the affluent league, according to Zahavi.
Lewandowski’s time at the club will sooner or later come to an end. Barcelona would be negligent if they didn’t already start thinking about the next phase. Viktor Gyokeres and Erling Haaland’s names have also been rumored, along with Alexander Isak. However, the cost of all three would be enormous, given the club’s financial struggle.
Another “number nine” who could be signed for less money is Benjamin Sesko, whose contract with RB Leipzig has a release clause in place. Jonathan David of Lille is also scheduled to become a free agent this summer.
