Rodrygo emerges as potential replacement for Neymar at Al-Hilal: Report

Mohamed Salah is another alternative for the Saudi club.
According to a source, Al-Hilal are considering Real Madrid attacker Rodrygo and Liverpool sensation Mohamed Salah as potential summer additions.
Santos FC are reportedly attempting to sign Neymar, who is expected to depart the team and return to Brazil, therefore the Saudi Pro League team is looking for a big name to bolster their attack.
According to Rudy Galetti, the Reds hero Salah is being considered by the Riyadh club after being linked to a move to Saudi Arabia for a long time. The Egypt star’s contract expires at the end of the current campaign. Salah has stated that a free move in the summer is more likely, despite Liverpool’s best efforts to persuade him to stay at Anfield.
Following Kylian Mbappe’s arrival last year, there have also been rumours of a potential transfer for Rodrygo, who may also get an offer from the Saudi Pro League title contenders. Despite an uneven start to the season, he has five goals in 16 LaLiga games for Carlo Ancelotti’s team.
Given that Neymar appears to be returning to Santos soon, Salah and Rodrygo would be faced with a difficult choice if Al-Hilal make a sizable bid.
Rodrygo has made 16 appearances in LaLiga, scoring five goals and dishing out three assists. With just one assist in the four games he has played in the UEFA Champions League, his contribution appears more subdued. He has added two goals in four more appearances across all competitions, namely the Copa del Rey, Spanish Super Cup, and UEFA Super Cup.
After a contract extension with Real Madrid at the conclusion of 2023, Rodrygo’s worth is still high. The striking €1 billion (more than $1.2 billion) release clause in the new contract, which keeps him with the team until June 2028, means that any bidder might have to pay that amount in order for the forward to depart.
