Romania vs Netherlands: All-time head-to-head record | Euro 2024

Ronald Koeman will hope his side recover from 3-2 defeat when they face Romania.
Few eyebrows would have been raised if someone had informed prior to the competition that Romania would win their group while the other would barely make it to the round of 16 by finishing third.
For the first time in the men’s European Championships history, every team in a group finished with the same amount of points. Romania, Ukraine, Belgium, and Slovakia all finished with four points after winning one, drawing one, and losing one match.
But because of Romania’s incredible three-goal victory over Ukraine and their goalless draw with Slovakia on the last day of play, they managed to finish as group leaders.
Romania, having won only one of their previous seven games across all events, are hardly in a good spot either, but their first-place finish indicates that the Tricolours’ opponents have not performed up to par in Germany.
Ronald Koeman’s team were left to lament Xavi Simons’s infamously barred goal in their uncontested draw with France after depending on Wout Weghorst, essentially the big man up top, to finish their comeback against Poland. On June 25, they lost 3-2 to Austria.
Oranje trailed Ralf Rangnick’s team twice, but they rallied twice to put Das Team level. However, Austria emerged victorious in Group D with a goal from Marcel Sabitzer in the 80th minute.
