Ruben Amorim voices concern over (manchester united) Benjamin Sesko's injury following Tottenham draw

The centre-forward picked up a serious knee injury.

Despite only entering the game at the hour mark, Benjamin Sesko was forced off in the 85th minute, raising concerns for Manchester United throughout the game. After their draw with Tottenham Hotspur, United have mixed emotions going into the November international break.

Following the final whistle, United head coach Ruben Amorim’s first concerns were about Benjamin Sesko possibly having a knee issue.

In that game, Matthijs de Ligt’s equaliser in extra time gave the Red Devils a point against Spurs after Richarlison’s early goal for the hosts in North London.

According to the Manchester Evening News, United will now have to wait anxiously to find out the exact extent of Benjamin Sesko’s potential injury.

“We have to check. He had something in his knee, let’s see,” Amorim told reporters on Saturday.

“I have no idea. Because it’s the knee, we never know,” Amorim went on, when asked if he had concerns that Sesko had picked up a serious injury.

The United boss concluded: “I’m more concerned with an injury because it’s in the knee and I don’t know. We need Ben to be a better team.”

After going five games without losing in the Premier League, United are still in the running for UEFA Champions League qualification. Notably, Amorim’s team has drawn their previous two away games, although with late equalisers against Spurs and Nottingham Forest.

However, Amorim claimed that United could and ought to have defeated Spurs by displaying greater “bravery.”

Amorim acknowledged that the team might need to add players in January, particularly if Benjamin Sesko is sidelined. United are expected to lose attackers Amad Diallo and Bryan Mbeumo to Africa Cup of Nations duty with the Ivory Coast and Cameroon, respectively, next month. Noussair Mazraoui, a defender from Morocco, will also compete.
