Scotland announce squad for March internationl break; Kieran Tierney returns

The Scots will face Greece twice in Nations League play-off.
Nine days remain until Scotland’s pivotal Nations League playoff matchup with Greece, and the team has been confirmed.
Scotland will play the Greeks in two games on March 20 and 23. The first leg will be played at home on Thursday night, while the second leg will be played away on Sunday.
Steve Clarke confirmed his roster this morning as he gets ready to assemble his team next week following the conclusion of this weekend’s domestic games.
With Ipswich Town attacker George Hirst and US-born goalkeeper Chris Brady predicted as first picks, there has been much discussion about who would be called up.
However, following another goal in the victory over Queen’s Park over the weekend, Kevin Nisbet’s Aberdeen form was reported to have put him in the running.
Kieran Tierney, the left-back who has made one start and eight substitute appearances for Arsenal since mid-December, is back in the fold for the first time since suffering an injury at Euro 2024.
Lewis Ferguson, a midfielder for Bologna, was additionally called up after recovering from a significant knee injury. During 2024–25, he made 10 starts and seven substitute appearances across all competitions.
Youngsters James Wilson of Hearts and Lennon Miller of Motherwell received their first call-ups, which are the squad’s primary takeaways.
Clarke had previously given an explanation for his decision to forgo calling up Miller, but given his continued success for the Steelmen, he must have believed the midfielder was ready.
Former right-back for Motherwell, Max Johnston, is in and likely to be vying for a chance after getting called-up after thriving for Sturm Graz.
