Scott McTominay reveals reason behind Man United exit

The Scottish midfielder has established himself as one of the key players at Napoli.

Scotland international Scott McTominay has discussed his choice to join Napoli after leaving Manchester United. When speaking to the BBC, he said,

“I took it, I didn’t look back, it didn’t take me long to make the decision. I knew that was what I wanted, and I’ll never have any regrets in my life. It was a mutual decision for all of us, I’m enjoying it at Napoli”,

In a transfer that cost a reported £21 million plus an additional 4 million, Scott McTominay joined Napoli this summer. He has gotten off to a fantastic start in his new club in Italy. In his 15 games thus far, the Scottish international has four goals and two assists.

Antonio Conte and his staff have been impressed by the midfield player, solidifying his position. He has never reached those levels at Manchester United.

Scott McTominay acknowledges that leaving his boyhood club to join Napoli was challenging. For Conte, the 27-year-old has been an exceptional performer.
