The Tangier Grand Stadium in Tangier, Morocco, gears up to host the Matchweek 2 fixture of AFCON 2025 featuring 2021 African champions Senegal and two-time African champions DR Congo.

No wonder Senegal has one of the deadliest squads for AFCON 2025 and is one of the favourites to win the championship. They kick-started their campaign with a 3-0 win over Botswana in the opening game after a brace from Nicolas Jackson and a late goal from Cherif Ndiaye.

The two-time African champions, DR Congo, last won the AFCON back in 1974 and are also on the verge of qualifying for the FIFA World Cup 2026. They are coming after a controversial 1-0 win over Benin in the opening game. Despite a late penalty appeal from Benin, the referee denied due to a VAR malfunction.
