Slovenia vs Serbia: All-time head-to-head record | Euro 2024

Both sides will be looking to secure the first win of Euro 2024.
Slovenia’s first game went just as planned. They played solid defence to earn a draw despite mostly failing to dominate the ball. In their initial encounter, Serbia gave England a fright. Having finished above Denmark in their qualification group, Slovenia are making only their second trip to the Euro competition.
Serbia have declined over the last few years. In 2021, they were eliminated from the event and came second to Hungary in the qualifying round.
Christian Eriksen’s goal 17 minutes into the game gave Slovenia a bad start to their Euro match. Erik Janza’s goal in the 77th minute gave Slovenia the incentive to hang on for the rest of the match and not give up. Now that they have the upper hand with a point on table, they can ensure their progress to the next round if they can defeat Serbia in this match.
Jude Bellingham’s header in the thirteenth minute appeared to be the start of a barrage on the porous Serbian defence. Serbia showed no signs of weakness as they practically shared possession of the ball and outran England for the remainder of the match.
After hitting a shot against the crossbar against Denmark, Benjamin Sesko will once again start at the front of the line as he bids for his first goal of the Euros.
In the event that Matjaz Kek decides to rearrange his pack, Benjamin Verbic is a viable possibility to enter the side. Before the tournament, the winger was dealing with a hamstring injury, but he bounced back to start off the bench against Denmark and played 25 minutes.
