The LA Roja will face Switzerland and Denmark in UEFA Nations League.
Spain have revealed their team for their Nations League matches against Denmark and Switzerland for the upcoming November international break 2024. Although LA Roja has guaranteed their place in the competition’s finals, they have not yet won their group.
After suffering a head injury during this week’s AC Milan training, captain Alvaro Morata was added at the last minute to Luis de la Fuente’s team of 28 men. Three players who are making their senior team debuts are Aitor Paredes of Athletic Club, Marc Casado of Barcelona, and Samu Omorodion of Porto.
Following the 20-year-old striker’s incredible season debut with Portuguese team Porto, Spain picked up Samu Omorodion on Friday for their forthcoming Nations League games against Denmark and Switzerland. Marc Casado of Barcelona was also named.
Omorodion, who represented Spain in the Olympics, has been called up to the senior squad for the first time. After joining Porto during the off-season, he has now scored 11 goals in as many Europa League and Portuguese League games.
Real Madrid player Dani Carvajal is not in the team due to injury, while Joselu Mato has also been left out.
Aitor Paredes, a centre defence for Athletic Bilbao, was selected in Pau Cubarsi’s place as the 17-year-old sustained a facial injury during their Champions League match against Red Star Belgrade.
With ten points and a trip to the quarterfinals already, defending champion Spain have yet to claim the top slot in the group.
