Spain announce squad for October International break; Lamine Yamal included

La Roja will face Serbia and Denmark in the Nations League games.
Spain have confirmed their squad for October’s UEFA Nations League matches. There has been a new addition to the squad with Robert Sanchez getting a call-up for upcoming games.
Spain are going to miss Rodri with an ACL injury while Unai Simon is also out with an injury. The former is set to be out for an entire season after suffering an ACL ailment against Arsenal.
More players have been left out of the squad due to injury. In general, a few significant absences in various areas of the field will have an impact on Luis de la Fuente’s side. In addition to Rodri and Simon, Robin Le Normand (cranioencephalic trauma with subdural hematoma) and Dani Olmo (right thigh biceps), will miss the games.
However, Mikel Merino’s return will be a big boost for Spain. The midfielder had injured his shoulder in his first training with Arsenal following his move to the club.
La Roja will face Serbia and Denmark in Nations League matches in October. They are currently second in the table with four points while the Danes are first with six points.
Other teams in their group are Serbia and Switzerland. The reigning Euro 2024 champions won 4-1 against Swiss and drew with Serbia in their September Nations League encounters.
Spain who beat England 1-0 in the final of Euro 2024 will be aiming to secure a double. They are also the current champions of the Nations League and will be hoping to defend it
