Spain vs Germany: All-time head-to-head record | Euro 2024

La Roja and the Euro 2024 hosts have met 26 times in all competitions.
Germany, the hosts, are moving in the right direction as they keep going towards what could be an incredible final at Euro 2024. It seems funny to say considering the magnitude that Die Mannschaft were somewhat of an unknown entity heading into this competition. They had under-performed in some of their friendlies and hadn’t played competitive football in a while.
But, under Julian Nagelsmann, they finally appear to be connecting the dots after finding their form at the appropriate time. Germany scored seven goals and gave up just one in their first two victories over Scotland and Hungary.
They did require a dramatic last-minute equalizer against Switzerland, but it has set them up for difficulty. In a fiercely-contested match, Germany defeated Denmark 2-0 in the Round of 16.
In contrast, Spain performed flawlessly in the group and are one of the favourites to win Euro 2024. But, the one thing working against them is the quarter-final draw. La Roja defeated Croatia, Italy and Albania in all three of their group matches without giving up a goal.
They joined Italy as the only teams to win all three of their group matches without conceding, as Italy did on their way to taking home the title at Euro 2020.
In the Round of 16, Spain did concede. However, it was due to a Spanish player who put the ball into his own net. Despite the own-goal by Robin Le Normand, Luis de la Fuente’s men overcame Georgia 4-1 to setup this thrilling match.
