Sweden announce squad for June international window; Viktor Gyokeres called up

The Swedes will face Hungary and Algeria in June.
Sweden have announced their squad for the upcoming June friendly against Hungary and Algeria. The roster contains many high-profile names as head coach Jon Dahl Tomasson prepares his side for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
With so many elite players, they will be hoping to finish their June international break with victories to bolster their momentum for the upcoming one.
Alexander Isak’s availability for Sunday’s match between Newcastle and Everton is now the focus of attention. Newcastle would finish the Premier League in the top five and earn a spot in the UEFA Champions League with a victory.
The different international teams are building their roster, keeping in mind that the Premier League season will soon conclude. These include Sweden’s two friendlies against Algeria (at home on June 10) and Hungary (away on June 6).
That team has now been announced by Jon Dahl Tomasson, the manager of Sweden and a former striker for Newcastle United.
Not only Isak but also another top European striker, Viktor Gyokeres, has also been called up. The Sporting CP centre-forward has enjoyed another prolific season, and his stock has continued to rise as many clubs are set to plot a move for the No.9.
Meanwhile, his service for his national team is also important when getting ready for the June friendly matches. However, Dejan Kulusevski could miss the games due to injury. Many new faces have also received a chance to represent Sweden in the June matches.
