The Best FIFA Football Awards 2024: List of all nominees

Men’s Player Lionel Messi has been named in the FIFA Best Awards’ nominees list.
The Best FIFA Football Awards 2024, which will honour the best men’s and women’s footballers at the club and national levels, have announced the nominees by FIFA. Among those selected are Argentina legend Lionel Messi and Rodri, the winner of the Ballon d’Or.
FIFA has announced the 2024 The Best Football Awards nominations, which honour exceptional men’s and women’s football players from both club and international games. Lionel Messi is once again on the shortlist, but for the first time in years, his longtime rival Cristiano Ronaldo is conspicuously missing.
Rodri and Vincius Jr., whose on-field accomplishments have been accompanied by off-field controversy, have two of the most compelling narratives. After Rodri’s spectacular Ballon d’Or victory, the midfield maestro for Manchester City is a serious contender going into the awards season.
The Spaniard played a key role in City’s treble-winning season, which included a UEFA Champions League triumph and a fourth straight Premier League crown. Rodri was also voted the tournament’s best player after his outstanding performances helped Spain win the UEFA European Championship.
Meanwhile, Vinicius Jr. has kept up his impressive play at Real Madrid, contributing significantly to their campaigns in LaLiga, the Spanish Super Cup, and the UEFA Champions League.
The Brazilian, however, did not attend the October Ballon d’Or presentation after finding out that he wouldn’t win the award. However, he will once again compete with Rodri for Best FIFA Men’s Player.
The most strange inclusion has been Messi who is currently playing for Inter Miami. Given the forward left Europe a year ago it has been surprising to see the forward included in the list.
