Trent Alexander-Arnold open to Real Madrid move

Los Blancos have a concrete interest in signing the Liverpool right-back.
After missing out on Leny Yoro’s signing, Real Madrid are set to look for a full-back. They have earmarked the signing of Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold, who is now open to a move to the Los Blancos.
Reports confirm Madrid’s interest in signing the right-back is concrete and a summer move could be possible. The England international has only one year left on his Liverpool deal.
If the Premier League giants hope to keep the impressive right-back they will have to start talks with Alexander-Arnold regarding his contract, otherwise he could even leave the club next summer as a free agent. The right-back has become one of the best players for the Reds ever since his breakthrough into the first-team.
However, since the departure of Jurgen Klopp, Alexander-Arnold could be open to fresh challenges and Madrid presents one of the best chances for the 25-year-old.
Trent Alexander-Arnold has been a mainstay at Liverpool, having appeared in 310 games for the club, scoring 19 goals along the way. The player earned his debut in the 2016-17 season and has been one of the most important players for Liverpool ever since.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid have an ageing right-back Dani Carvajal, who is certainly reaching a time where he won’t be at the level the Spanish club would want. Another full-back operating in the same position, Lucas Vazquez hasn’t been a key starter for the 15-time UEFA Champions League winners. They need to look for a right-back in the near future regardless of the present chase.
Signing Alexander-Arnold presents a big opportunity for both the club and the player. Now, Los Blancos have a decision to make, either sign him this summer for a big fee, as Liverpool certainly won’t let him leave on the cheap or wait for next summer to acquire him for free.
The Reds, meanwhile, are about to see a significant transformation following the appointment of Arne Slot, who will undoubtedly usher in a new era. The team’s style of play will definitely change and it will also demonstrate just how crucial the right-back will prove to be at Anfield under the Dutch manager.
