In LaLiga‘s Matchday 20, Real Madrid defeated Levante 2-0 on Saturday, snapping a run of straight losses. The triumph did not come easily, though. Raul Asencio clinched the win after Kylian Mbappe‘s penalty kick in the 58th minute opened the score.
Real Madrid supporters were particularly irate with some team members, such as Vinicius Jr. and Jude Bellingham. They even yelled at president Florentino Perez when tensions were at their worst and sides were tied 0–0 at halftime.

The Brazilian winger reacted emotionally to this circumstance. The precise moment Vinicius Jr sobbed and put his head in his hands during the break, irritated by the team’s poor play and the criticism of the fans, was captured on television and uploaded on social media.
The constant whistling and jeering Vinicius Jr. got from Real Madrid supporters during their 2-0 victory over Levante infuriated him.
ElPeriodico claims that the Brazilian was severely affected by the level of booing he experienced throughout the game and in previous games this season.
Vinicius responded to Los Blancos fans attitude by saying, “I don’t want to play in a place where I’m not welcome.”
Vinicius Jr.’s contract renewal negotiations with Real Madrid may also be impacted by this. Who knows, he might have to relocate in the summer. In 20 LaLiga games so far in the 2025–26 season, Vinicius Jr. has five goals and five assists for Real Madrid.
The forward’s performance has not improved this term and continues to be targeted by the fans. This could certainly impact his relationship with the club and hinder the progress of any contract extension.
