What injury did Atletico Madrid's Robin Le Normand suffer against Real Madrid?

Le Normand could be out for some days depending on the severity of the injury.
During their derby match with Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid defender Robin Le Normand sustained a “traumatic brain injury”. The 27-year-old Spain international took the hit late in the match on Sunday at Wanda Metropolitano.
Le Normand suffered from a subdural hematoma, which occurs when blood is pooled between the brain’s surface and the skull, according to Atletico.
In the closing moments of the Madrid derby, Robin Le Normand was struck severely in the head. Following plenty of tests and an evaluation by medical professionals, it was concluded that he had sustained a traumatic brain injury (TBI) with subdural haemorrhage.
A statement from the club read “Robin Le Normand suffered a severe blow to the head in the final minutes of the Madrid derby, for which he underwent a series of tests and was assessed by specialists who determined that he suffered a traumatic brain injury (TBI) with subdural haematoma.
“In the process of returning our player to competition, the guidelines set out in the protocol established for this type of trauma will be followed.”
Diego Simeone, the manager of Atletico Madrid, will be disappointed by his player’s temporary absence, even though Marca reports that a “serious injury has been ruled out”.
Throughout Atletico’s nine games this season across all competitions, Le Normand has started all but one of them. He has been a key player for the club after joining them.
In the two Nations League games Spain played last month, Normand made appearances in both games for the LA Roja, against Serbia and Switzerland.
Due to home supporters throwing items onto the field, the match was suspended for around fifteen minutes, resulting in chaos during Atletico Madrid’s 1-1 draw with Real Madrid. As Thibaut Courtois tried to take a goal kick, objects were aimed at him.
While Atletico’s players and manager Simeone pleaded with the supporters to stop, the official sent the both the teams’ players down the tunnel. But after some time, when things were bought to control, the play was resumed and match ended in a 1-1 draw.
