Today UEFA Champions League 2025-26 season’s league phase draw will take place in Monaco, and top European teams will learn their opponents for the league fixtures.
The 36-team league structure that was implemented last season will be used during the early phase of the competition. Each team has been divided into four pots. They will play two opponents from each pot. Exactly half of those games will be at home, while the other half will be away.

What is the format for the league stage draw?
The 36 clubs are divided into four pots for the UEFA Champions League league-stage draw. After selecting a team, starting from one pot 1, eight fixtures—two opponents from each pot—will be assigned to that team by automatic algorithms. In accordance with UEFA regulations, this procedure will then be repeated to assign eight matches to each team.
