When does the current January transfer window end for major leagues?

The winter transfer window only lasts a month.
As the January window draws to a close, clubs are still trying to push through a few transfers as they hope to reinforce some areas of their squad.
Despite the challenges of making deals halfway through a season, it is anticipated that this year will see a bustling conclusion to the time frame. Most of Europe’s major leagues have until the start of next month to either bring in new players or secure some departures.
While MLS clubs will soon be permitted to finalize their first acquisitions ahead of the 2025 season, the affluent Saudi Pro League is also nearing the end of its most recent window.
We examine the timings and dates for some of the major league’s current window ends.
What day is the transfer deadline? Date and timing of the January 2025 window shutting
On February 3, 2025, the transfer windows for most of the major European leagues, notably the Premier League, end. Teams will be unable to sign any new players after this date until the following offseason registration period.
The present transfer windows for Spain’s LaLiga, Italy’s Serie A, Germany’s Bundesliga, and France’s Ligue 1 also end on February 3. The Netherlands and Portugal leagues extend their windows by one day.
The major leagues agreed to extend the deadline for another weekend, even though it would normally be expected to end on January 31, especially as it falls on a Friday in 2025.
When will the transfer window for Saudi Arabia conclude?
The lucrative Saudi Pro League’s club window ends on January 31, which is a little sooner than the main leagues in Europe. The clubs from the league have brought many top names in past but so far in the winter window, they have not been active much.
Is the window for MLS transfers open?
January 31 marks the official start of the transfer window for the upcoming 2025 Major League Soccer season. It will continue till April 23.
