But still, there have been a handful of transfers that have taken place between the two sides. But the last move took place in 1964. The final player to change clubs between Manchester United and Liverpool was Phil Chisnall.

Phil Chisnall joined Liverpool for a £25,000 fee in April 1964 after graduating from United’s development academy and playing for their senior side from 1961 to 1964, scoring 10 goals in 47 games.

Four months after arriving, Chisnall made his Liverpool debut in the Charity Shield and scored his first goal in a European Cup triumph over KR Reykjavik.

But he didn’t stay at the club for long. His final game was the first leg of the 1965–66 Cup Winners’ Cup semi-final against Celtic. He finished with two goals in nine games.

After that, Chisnall played for Southend United before retiring at Stockport County.
