Liverpool finally struck a deal with Eintracht Frankfurt to sign the talented centre-forward Hugo Ekitike. The Reds quickly wrapped up his acquisition, fending off interest from rival Premier League teams Newcastle United and Chelsea.

Ekitike will now commence his Liverpool career and will hope to replicate his Eintracht Frankfurt form at Anfield. The club have spent a big sum on his services. Ekitike’s transfer cost has £10 million worth of add-ons and a guaranteed £69 million.

After making 48 appearances across three competitions in 2024–2025, the 23-year-old scored 22 goals and provided 12 assists. He is the PL club’s fifth summer acquisition, following Milos Kerkez, Florian Wirtz, Giorgi Mamardashvili, and Jeremie Frimpong.

After an outstanding season in the Bundesliga last season, the striker signed a six-year contract at Merseyside, securing his future with the champions and aiming to lift more trophies with them.

The Reds have spent a big sum in the current transfer window as they look to start the new season with an aim to defend the league title.

Ekitike’s addition will surely bring extra firepower to the squad, and the centre-forward will be excited to make his debut soon.
