Where and how to watch FIFA Club World Cup 2025 for free?
The competition is set to take place in the USA.
The exclusive rights for airing the FIFA Club World Cup next summer have been acquired by streaming service DAZN. The 32-team competition, which is scheduled to be held in the United States from June 15 to July 13 of next year, will feature all 63 matches on DAZN.
Every game will be free to watch live on its platforms, and DAZN may also license the rights to regional free-to-air networks.
The estimated value of the deal is 1 billion euros (£829 million). Thursday’s live broadcast of the FIFA Club World Cup draw in Miami marks the start of the collaboration with football’s international governing body, FIFA.
FIFA president Gianni Infantino said: “Through this broadcasting agreement, billions of football fans worldwide can now watch what will be the most widely accessible club football tournament ever – and for free.”
Due to the controversies regarding the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 tournament—which has been accused of overstuffing the international football calendar—the hunt for a broadcaster had grown urgent. Concerns have also been raised about its earnings and financial effects, particularly given FIFA’s assurances of a significant profit for the 32 participating teams.
Following deals with the Belgian brewer AB InBev and the Chinese electronics company Hisense, FIFA announced a relationship with Bank of America to sponsor the event prior to the unveiling of the deal with DAZN. An impending agreement with Coca-Cola is also anticipated, according to people familiar with the talks.
Athletes and national leagues have fiercely opposed the 2025 Club World Cup, citing the demanding schedule of football as the reason. FIFA was accused of misusing its dominating position in planning in a petition submitted to the European Commission in October by the European Leagues Association and the Global Players’ Union (FIFPRO).
Numerous elite players, which includes French midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni, Dutch defender Virgil van Dijk, and Spanish Ballon d’Or winner Rodri, have even called for action in resentment of the growing number of games, which is already apparent with the Champions League’s new & current format.
