Man Utd and Tottenham will face each other in the final.
The final between Tottenham and Manchester United at San Mamés Stadium in Bilbao, Spain, will mark the end of the 2024–25 UEFA Europa League season.
The Athletic Club’s new stadium, which can accommodate over 50,000 fans, opened in September 2013 and replaced the old San Mamés, where the team had played since 1913.
In addition to hosting three matches at the 1982 FIFA World Cup finals, the old stadium hosted the second leg of the 1977 UEFA Cup final, in which Athletic defeated Juventus 2-1 but still lost the match on away goals after losing the first leg 1-0.
There will be a chance for both clubs to secure UEFA Champions League participation. The victor of this all-English match in Bilbao gets a direct entry into the 2025-26 UCL edition.
For the loser, the prospect of missing out on European football the next season, the humiliation of breaking so many unwelcome records, and the uncertainty surrounding the fates of those who oversaw such a stunning decline.
At Estadio de San Mamés, two English football powerhouses will have a final chance to salvage the season.
Neither team has appeared to be able to contend for a spot in the Premier League’s top five, which could have guaranteed them a spot in the Champions League. However, both teams have an incredible lifeline for Champions League football through the Europa League.

When is the Europa League 2024-25 final?
The final is scheduled for May 21, 2025. It will mark the competition’s 16th season in its current configuration and the 54th since the UEFA Cup’s inception.
What does the Europa League winner get?
At 15 kg, the UEFA Europa League trophy is the heaviest piece of UEFA trophies. In addition, it lacks handles for added intrigue.
The 2024–2025 winners go to the 2025–2026 UEFA Champions League stage.
Additionally, they will be eligible to compete in the 2025 UEFA Super Cup against the 2024–2025 UEFA Champions League winners.
