Marmoush has emerged as a talented star for Eintracht Frankfurt.

Egypt might have found their replacement for Mohamed Salah, and the player is currently thriving in the Bundesliga. His name is Omar Marmoush. The 25-year-old has made a significant impact this season. He already has five goals and three assists in five Bundesliga games for Eintracht Frankfurt.

Although he may not be getting much attention, his performance this season has been spectacular. Such top-notch performances surely will attract many top European clubs if he remains persistent with his exploits this season.

Last season he did have interest from Premier League clubs such as LiverpoolArsenal and Tottenham Hotspur. His past campaign with Frankfurt saw him register 12 league goals.

Marmoush has nine goal involvements this season which is a massive improvement from last season at this stage of the season. Last term he had 2.7 per match shots attempted, while this campaign he has enhanced that a lot by attempting 5.2 shots per game.

“He’s responsible for producing danger up front, firing in goals and setting up others,” Eintracht manager Dino Toppmöller said after the Holstein Kiel game.

“He’s very difficult to defend due to his pace and how fast he can run deep. He can also sneak in from close range, exhibit a great touch and play some great balls. He’s in outstanding form at the moment, and he’s feeling comfortable. That’s the key to his success these days. He feels comfortable with this club and the group, and is thus a key component for us.”

Is Omar Marmoush a replacement for Mohamed Salah at Egypt?

It will be too soon to comment on this as Salah has achieved legendary status as an Egypt player, while Marmoush is now emerging. He does have a lot of potential to make as much impact as the Liverpool forward has done so far for the national team.

Salah has made 100 appearances for the national team, scoring 57 goals while Marmoush has featured 32 times, recording six goals.

There is a big difference. But given Salah is reaching an age where he will soon be making a decision on his national team’s future, that may provide Marmoush with a big chance to take up his spot and make his name.

With his increasing efficiency in front of the goal, Marmoush is turning out to be a lethal goalscorer combined with a game-changing impact.

“What he’s done in the German league since last season deserves even more praise and attention,” Ahmed Shobair, former Egypt player, said. “Marmoush proves every day that he’s a distinguished talent and wonderful player. There’s little doubt that a transfer to one of Europe’s biggest clubs is very close.”

He has already made the case of being a main player for the Bundesliga team. He has evolved into a high-volume shooter at Eintracht. He is not only a player who likes to score goals but also can play like a playmaker. He can set up the game with his passing as well as dribbling.

He is already a household name at Eintracht, and soon he will make his name at the national team. But currently, it’s too soon to say he will be a replacement for Salah. For that he will have to be consistent throughout his career and step up in big games.
