Al-Nassr were set to play against Al-Wasl in the AFC Two quarterfinals.

Because of the ongoing tensions in the Middle East, Al-Nassr’s match versus Al-Wasl in the quarterfinals of the Asian Champions League Two has been postponed. It follows the weekend commencement of the military operation against Iran by US President Donald Trump.

The Champions League Round of 16 games that were originally set for Wednesday have been postponed, according to confirmation from the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). Al Nassr have been affected by the postponement of the Asian Champions League two-quarterfinals, which were originally scheduled for this Wednesday.

In their quarterfinal matchup in Dubai, the Saudi team was scheduled to play Al-Wasl, a club from the United Arab Emirates. However, it was postponed, and a new date has not yet been set.

“In light of the developing situation in the Middle East, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has confirmed that the Champions League Elite 2025/26 Round of 16 first-leg matches in the West Region, originally scheduled for March 2—3, 2026, will now be rescheduled,” the AFC said in a statement.

“Additionally, the Champions League Two and Challenge League quarter-final first-leg matches involving teams in the West Region, originally scheduled to be played between March 3 and 4, 2026, are also postponed until further notice.“

“Matches involving clubs from the East Region across all of the AFC’s club competitions will proceed as originally scheduled.“

After sustaining an injury during the team’s 3-1 victory over Al Fahya on Saturday, Al Nassr and Portugal are all concerned about his fitness. Before being substituted in the 81st minute, Cristiano Ronaldo gave a gesture to the bench.

He also missed a penalty earlier in the match, before being withdrawn. Now that the game has been postponed, he may have extra time to return to full fitness.
