Ronaldo should be ready to lead the Selecao in the Nations League.
Cristiano Ronaldo, one of football’s greatest active icons, will be the centre of attention as the international break draws near. After a run of impressive performances with Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia, where he has six goals and two assists in nine league games, Ronaldo rejoins the Portugal national team.
His position in the Portuguese squad is still crucial as they play Poland and Croatia in UEFA Nations League games. Good results against them will increase Roberto Martínez’s men’s chances of qualifying.
Supporters are excited to see if Ronaldo can surpass his current record and add more goals after all he is the all-time top scorer in men’s international football (133 goals).
After scoring Portugal’s second goal in their victory against Croatia last month, the all-time best scorer in international football history surpassed the 900-goal milestone and started crying as he celebrated.
However, since then he has suffered a massive drop in his form as he is now struggling to find the back of the net at club and international level.
Ronaldo has only scored two goals in the six Al-Nassr games since the last international break. The goals are not coming as frequently as they were during his best time at the club.

Ronaldo has already returned to Europe to play for Portugal in their final two group matches in the UEFA Nations League this month.
Knowing that they only require one point to go to the Nations League finals the following year, the Selecao das Quinas will play Poland and Croatia.
