The Portuguese netted a brace in the last league match.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr, who had a slow start to the second part of the season will be back in action on Sunday hoping to win two in a row and close the distance with the leaders of the division.

With 32 points from their first 16 games, 11 fewer than fellow title-chasers Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad, the Faris Najd are currently in fourth place going into the second half of the season and are hoping to win their 10th domestic top-flight title—their first since 2019 after finishing in second place the previous time.

Their final six games of the last year yielded just two more wins and their first two league losses of the season, losing to Al-Ittihad and Al-Qadisiyah before the winter break.

They have recovered in the new year, starting with a 3-1 victory over Al Okhdood and a 1-1 draw away at Al-Taawoun. Most recently, they visited Al Khaleej on Tuesday and won 3-1, despite being tied going into the final ten minutes.

Sultan Al-Ghannam put Pioli’s team ahead again, and Cristiano Ronaldo closed the points with his second goal of the game late in the match.

Will Cristiano Ronaldo play tonight?

Ronaldo will be ready to take the field today when his side host Al Fateh as they hope to close the gap between other sides ahead of them. Earlier it was reported that Ronaldo missed Al-Nassr’s last training which caused doubts that the Portuguese player wouldn’t take part in the game against Al-Fateh.

However, the forward will be ready to play the game as he continues to lead the attacking line. His brace in the last match helped his side secure a much-needed win.

Ronaldo scored two goals against Al-Khaleej as he reached a century of goal tallies as an Al-Nassr player. His two goals also put him atop the Saudi Pro League 2024–25 goal-scorers chart with 13 goals to his credit.
