The Portuguese turned 40 a few days ago.
Al-Nassr will get back to domestic action tonight when they host Al Fayha at Al Awwal Park for the Saudi Pro League matchday 19.
In the AFC Champions League, the Knight of Najd defeated Al Wasl of the United Arab Emirates 4-0 on Monday, boosting their point total to 16 after five victories, one draw, and a loss.
Thanks to Ali Alhassan, who opened the score in the 25th minute, followed by a brace from Cristiano Ronaldo, and a goal from Mohammed Al Fatil. Al Nassr enter this game in dominant form after sweeping away Al Wasl in a commanding show. The win extends the Big Yellowsâ record of victories to four games across all competitions.
Three straight wins in the Saudi Pro League are also part of that streak. Al-Nassr defeated Al Khaleej and Al Fateh 3-1 before defeating Al Raed 2-1 in their most recent match.
Their most recent league triumph was their sixth away win, making Stefano Pioliâs team the divisionâs best away team. However, in the league, they remain in fourth place with 38 points, three points below Al Qadisiyah.
Even with their recent upswing, the Big Yellow are still finding it difficult to stay up with the blistering Al Hilal and Al Ittihad, who are both atleast eight points ahead. Both sides so far have shown no signs of dropping points as the season progresses.
However, Al-Nassrâs form is fine-tuned for success more or less. If they continue to play this way until the end of the season they can certainly end up with a major trophy. Moreover, Ronaldo has been enthralling â scoring goals in four straight matches. Tonight we can expect him to increase his league goal tally.
Will Cristiano Ronaldo play tonight for Al-Nassr?
Ronaldo will be braced to play today as he has been in excellent goalscoring form since the start of the year. In the AFC Champions League, he has six goals in five matches and 15 goals in 17 matches in the Saudi Pro League, which underlines his terrific form.
The former Real Madrid player turned 40 a few days ago, and considering how he has maintained his consistency and skill level despite not being at the peak of his career, makes him one of the best players in the league at that age.
