The Portuguese star has now scored 17 league goals this term

Al-Nassr secured a vital 2-0 victory over Al Wehda on the road on Tuesday after a shocking 3-2 loss to Al-Ettifaq at Al-Awwal Park.

Following a goalless first half, the game got going after the interval. Three minutes into the second half, Cristiano Ronaldo opened the score before Sadio Mane succeeded in scoring a stoppage-time penalty.

Stefano Pioli’s team needed the win to maintain third place in the rankings since they had a better goal differential than Al Qadisiyah, who are in fourth place and have the same number of points.

Al-Nassr must now concentrate on finishing in the top three to secure a spot in the AFC Champions League the following season. Their hopes of winning the title are dwindling unless the first-place Al-Ittihad suffers a setback, which will once again keep the title race wide open between all four sides. Their King’s Cup campaign has already ended.

It will be important to avoid making any more mistakes, and playing a struggling Al Orobah team offers a chance to gain momentum. Al-Nassr will be confident of maintaining their pristine record because they have been dominant against Al Orobah in past games, winning all six of their previous matches.

Will Cristiano Ronaldo play tonight?

Cristiano Ronaldo is fit and was also spotted in team training and looks set to be in the starting lineup to face Al Orobah tonight. At the age of 40, he has remained impressive with his performance, scoring goals week in and week out this term.

The team will be counting on him to open the deadlock as he did in the previous game, given the majority of goals he has contributed for Al-Nassr this term.

Ronaldo, who netted a goal in the previous match, has continued his fine form this season with 17 goals in the league in 21 matches so far. With Jhon Duran returning to the starting lineup after his red card, Ronaldo will be handed a major boost in attack.
